Course Comparisons: NNWA Courses Side by Side

NNWA publishes a side-by-side comparison for every pair of its courses that learners commonly confuse, and a guide to each subject area. Each comparison shows the current fee, duration, level and certificates of both courses, explains what separates them, and says who should take which, including when the answer is both or neither.

01How to use these

Two courses with similar names rarely do the same job

NNWA's catalogue is large, and several courses sit close together: two on diabetes, two on child nutrition, more than one for fitness professionals who want nutrition. The names alone do not say which one fits. These pages do the comparing, so the choice rests on what each course trains you to do and not on its title.

Every comparison has the same shape. A table sets the two courses line by line, with fees and durations read from the course pages themselves, so they are always current. Below it is the part a table cannot do: what each course prepares you for, the situations in which to choose one over the other, where they overlap, and whether taking both makes sense.

If you are not yet down to two, start with the guide to your subject area. It lists every course in the area with the goal each one suits, entry level first. If the larger question is still open, such as a diploma or a short course, or online or classroom, the pages at the foot of this one deal with those.

05Questions

Choosing between courses: common questions

How do I choose between two NNWA courses?

Start from the work you want to do afterwards, not from the course names. Open the comparison for the pair, read the two lists of situations in which to choose each course, and see which describes you. If neither does, the guide to that subject area will usually point to a third course that fits better.

Are the fees on the comparison pages up to date?

Yes. The fee, duration, level and certificate details in every table are read from the course's own page each time the site is rebuilt, so a comparison always shows what the course page shows. The written sections never state a fee, for the same reason.

Can I take two NNWA courses together?

You can enrol in more than one, and many comparisons recommend an order when the two build on each other. Where two courses cover much the same ground, the comparison says so plainly, so that nobody studies the same material twice without meaning to.

Who can I ask if I am still unsure which course fits?

An NNWA counsellor can look at your background and your goal and suggest a course, and will say so when a shorter course is the better answer. The enquiry form and the WhatsApp button on every course page both reach the admissions team.
