What an NNWA certificate does not do
NNWA programmes are private skill-enhancement courses and diplomas. They are not UGC- or NCAHP-recognised degrees, and completing one does not confer the statutory title of Registered Dietitian or any equivalent licensed clinical role.

This page is written for the person doing the checking. If someone has shown you an NNWA certificate and you want to know whether it is real, you can find out yourself in under a minute, without contacting the academy and without the certificate holder's help. Here is what the check does, and, just as importantly, what it does not tell you.
How to run the check
Every NNWA certificate carries a unique ID printed on the document. Take that ID and enter it on the verification page. The record confirms whether that certificate was genuinely issued by NNWA. The check is free and instant. There is no account to create and no login, which is deliberate, because a verification that needs a login is a verification most people never run.
Type the ID exactly as printed, including every letter, number and dash. Most failed checks are typing errors rather than fake documents. If the ID still returns nothing, contact NNWA by phone, on WhatsApp or by email with the certificate details, and the record can be confirmed or a data error corrected.
What the verification record shows
The record ties the certificate ID to the programme completed and the person it was issued to. In other words, it answers one question well: was this document issued by NNWA, to this person, for this programme. That is the question a forged certificate fails.
It is worth saying what this is not. It is not a rating, a grade summary or an assessment of how well the person will do the work you are hiring them for. No verification system anywhere does that.
Checking the university award as well
On the flagship programmes, the learner also holds an MSU Certificate for Skill Competency awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim. You can confirm the partnership behind that award at the university's own site rather than at NNWA's. MSU publishes a partner directory at https://awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners. Search for the full legal name, National Nutrition and Wellness Academy, since a search for the initialism will not find it. NNWA's partnership certificate is numbered MSU/2026-27/744, records NNWA as an Approved Skilling Partner, and was issued on 1 August 2026 with validity to 31 July 2027. If you need the university to confirm an individual certificate rather than the partnership, ask NNWA for the route on that specific document. NNWA does not publish a separate university lookup on this page, and it is better to be told that plainly than to be pointed at a link that does not do what you expected.
What does a verified certificate actually prove?
It proves that a real training provider issued a real document to that person for that programme. That is a genuine and useful fact, and it rules out the most common problem, which is an invented credential. It does not prove how good the holder is, how recently they practised, or whether they are the right person for your particular role or client. Verification confirms completion, and competence is what your interview, your trial and your references are for.
Does a verified certificate make someone a dietitian?
No, and this is the most important line on the page. Registered Dietitian status in India requires a BSc or MSc in the subject plus registration through the Indian Dietetic Association's own route. An NNWA qualification is a skill qualification, not a degree, and it does not confer that title. It also does not qualify the holder to deliver clinical medical nutrition therapy or to treat disease. If your role involves clinical care of patients, a verified NNWA certificate is not the credential you are looking for, and you should say so in your job description.
What is the certificate holder allowed to do?
They hold practical nutrition and wellness training and can be described in exactly those terms. Everyday diet, lifestyle and general wellness guidance sits inside that. Diagnosis, treatment of disease and clinical medical nutrition therapy sit outside it and belong with a doctor or a registered dietitian. A note on short course certificates
NNWA issues its own certificate for the roughly 70 short specialisation courses. These are not awarded through Medhavi Skills University, so a university award should not be expected on one. They verify the same way, by ID, and the record will show the programme that was actually completed.
