What do people ask before enrolling on the Post Graduation Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics & Public Health?
Who is the PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics for?
It is built for graduates and working professionals who already hold a degree and want a structured nutrition qualification on top of it. That includes people moving into nutrition from another field, and clinicians, trainers and teachers adding nutrition to work they already do. If you have not graduated yet, the six-month Diploma is the programme to look at instead.
How long does the PG Diploma take, and how are classes run?
It runs for one year, entirely online. Classes are live rather than pre-recorded, so you can ask a question while a topic is being taught, and every session is recorded and kept on the learner dashboard with lifetime access. Teaching is bilingual, in English and Hindi, so you can follow the science in whichever language you think in.
What does the PG Diploma cost, and can I pay monthly?
The listed fee is 79,999 rupees and it is currently offered at 59,999 rupees. Instalment plans start from 6,999 rupees a month, and the total does not change when you choose to pay monthly. The admissions team confirms the exact plan before you enrol, so ask for the schedule in writing rather than agreeing to a monthly figure alone.
What is the difference between the PG Diploma and the six-month Diploma?
The six-month Diploma is open to anyone who has passed class 12 and covers the working foundation. The PG Diploma runs for a year, needs a graduation to enter, and goes further into clinical application, public health and practice. The longer programme contains the shorter one rather than replacing it, so you are not choosing between two different subjects.
Who awards the PG Diploma certificate?
NNWA's flagship programmes are delivered in partnership with Medhavi Skills University in Sikkim, which is recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is an approved Awarding Body under NCVET. You can check that partnership yourself on the university's own partner directory rather than taking NNWA's word for it.
Does a PG Diploma make me a Registered Dietitian?
No. Registered Dietitian status in India needs a BSc or MSc in the subject plus registration through the Indian Dietetic Association, and no diploma from any provider is a substitute for that route. A skill qualification is not a degree. What it does qualify you for is nutrition education, wellness coaching and general healthy-eating guidance.
Is there a job or placement guarantee with the PG Diploma?
No, and you should be wary of any provider that offers one. What the programme gives you is assessed case work, mentor review of what you submit and a certificate an employer or client can verify online. Whether that turns into work depends on the portfolio you build and the practice you put in, which is the honest answer everywhere.
