What do people ask before enrolling on the Cardiovascular (CVD) Nutrition?
Does this course qualify me to treat heart patients on my own?
No. This is a skill-enhancement certificate, not a medical or registered-dietitian qualification. You learn to provide supportive, educational nutrition guidance that complements the care of doctors and registered dietitians, while diagnosis, prescribing and clinical decisions remain with the medical team.
Do I need a background in nutrition or medicine to enrol?
A basic interest in health is enough to begin, though some nutrition knowledge helps. The course is pitched at an intermediate level and builds cardiovascular concepts from the ground up, so motivated beginners and practising professionals both benefit.
Is the course taught online, and in which language?
Yes, it is fully online with lifetime access to session recordings. Teaching is available in English and Hindi, and you receive mentor support throughout so you can ask questions as you learn.
Will I be able to design diets for someone on cardiac medication?
You will understand how common cardiac medications interact with diet and can offer general supportive guidance. Any changes for a patient on medication should be coordinated with their treating doctor or registered dietitian, who holds responsibility for their clinical care.
How long does the course take and can I pay in instalments?
The programme runs over five weeks and is studied online at your own pace with recordings. EMI options are available so you can spread the cost, and you earn an NNWA skill-enhancement certificate on completion.
