About NNWA: Nutrition & Wellness Academy
NNWA Nutrition and Wellness Academy is an online, India-first academy teaching nutrition, fitness and wellness as practical skill rather than theory. Classes run in English and Hindi, live with recordings and lifetime access, taught by practising mentors. NNWA is ISO 9001:2015 certified and registered as an MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise).
What stands behind an NNWA certificate?
Four recognitions, each named in full so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.
- 01
NCrF Level-4, via Medhavi Skills University
The National Credit Framework (NCrF) Level-4 skill certificate is issued by Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, an NCVET-approved Awarding Body, to learners who complete a flagship programme.
- 02
ISO 9001:2015 certified
NNWA runs as an ISO 9001:2015-certified academy, in association with Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim.

- 04
YCB-aligned yoga programmes

What an NNWA qualification is not
NNWA programmes are private skill-enhancement courses and diplomas. They are not UGC- or NCAHP-recognised degrees, and completing one does not confer the statutory title of Registered Dietitian or any equivalent licensed clinical role.
What About NNWA: Nutrition & Wellness Academy says in full
Last reviewed on 2 September 2026.
NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

National Nutrition and Wellness Academy is an online academy that teaches nutrition, dietetics, fitness and wellness as a practical skill. It trades as NNWA. The teaching is India-first, which means the case work uses Indian foods, Indian kitchens and Indian eating habits rather than examples borrowed from elsewhere. Classes are live, taught in English and Hindi, and every session is recorded. This page sets out what the academy is, what it awards, and what it is not. Where a limit applies, that limit is written next to the claim rather than buried further down.
What is NNWA?
NNWA is a private skill academy, not a college and not a university. It runs structured programmes in nutrition, dietetics, public health, personal training and wellness, and it teaches them entirely online across India. The full legal name is National Nutrition and Wellness Academy. Learners study live with mentors, keep the recordings for life, and finish with a certificate that names the programme they completed. The academy was built around one simple idea. Practical health skill should be affordable and it should be checkable by anyone who wants to check it.
What does NNWA teach?
There are two layers. The flagship set holds a Certification in Nutrition, a six-month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health, a Post Graduation Diploma for people who already hold a degree, and an Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition. Around seventy short specialisation courses sit alongside that set, covering areas such as clinical and therapeutic nutrition, sports nutrition, gut health, women's health and wellness coaching. You can see the whole range on the courses page, and the Diploma page carries the fullest description of the flagship programme.
Who does NNWA teach?
The Diploma is open to anyone who has passed 10+2 and above, from any stream. In practice the learners fall into a few broad groups. Some are students who want a skill before or alongside a degree. Some are graduates changing direction. Some are homemakers returning to paid work. Some already work in health or fitness, as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, AYUSH practitioners, gym trainers or yoga teachers, and want nutrition added to what they already do. The Post Graduation Diploma is open to graduates only. The eligibility page sets out the requirements for each programme.
How does NNWA teach?
Every class is delivered live and online, in English and Hindi, and every class is recorded. Learners keep lifetime access to those recordings and to future updates through the learner dashboard, so missing a session does not mean losing the material. Mentor support runs on the same dashboard and on the NNWA app, which means questions can be raised between classes and not only during them. Teaching is led by practising professionals rather than anonymous presenters, and the faculty page names every one of them with their qualifications.
Who awards the qualifications?
NNWA's flagship programmes are awarded in partnership with Medhavi Skills University (MSU) in Sikkim. MSU was established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, is promoted by the Medhavi Foundation, is recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is an approved Awarding Body under NCVET. It aligns its qualifications to the NSQF, the NHEQF and the NCrF under NEP 2020, and its certificates carry NSDC and Skill India marks. NNWA holds partnership certificate MSU/2026-27/744 as an Approved Skilling Partner, issued on 1 August 2026 and valid to 31 July 2027. This scope matters: the MSU award covers the flagship set only. The roughly seventy short courses carry NNWA's own certificate and are not MSU-awarded.
What does an NNWA qualification do, and what does it not do?
The flagship Diploma is a 600-hour qualification at NCrF and NSQF Level 4. A learner who completes it receives an MSU Certificate for Skill Competency alongside the NNWA certificate. That is a real, checkable skill credential, and it is worth being exact about its ceiling. A skill qualification is not a degree. It does not award a BSc or an MSc, and it does not make anyone a graduate of Medhavi Skills University. It does not confer Registered Dietitian status, and it does not make anyone eligible for Indian Dietetic Association registration, because both of those need a BSc or MSc in the subject plus the IDA's own route. It does not qualify anyone to deliver clinical medical nutrition therapy or to treat disease. The guide to nutrition credentials in India explains how the different qualifications compare.
What NNWA is deliberately not
Some of the clearest things about the academy are the things it refuses to claim. Stating them here saves a reader time, and it saves an enquirer from a disappointment later.
- Not a university. NNWA does not award degrees and is not a degree-granting body. The awarding partner for the flagship programmes is a university; NNWA itself is not.
- Not a route to a statutory title. No NNWA programme makes a person a Registered Dietitian or any other licensed clinical professional. The article on becoming a Registered Dietitian in India sets out the actual route, which runs through a degree.
- Not a placement agency. NNWA does not guarantee a job, a placement or an income. It offers teaching, mentor support and a verifiable certificate. What a learner does with those depends on their own effort and their own market.
- Not a substitute for medical care. Nothing taught at NNWA replaces a doctor or a treating dietitian. Anyone with a medical condition should work with their own clinician.
How can you check any of this for yourself?
None of the above needs to be taken on trust. MSU publishes a public partner directory on its awarding body site, and NNWA appears in it under the full legal name rather than the initialism, so search for National Nutrition and Wellness Academy. The affiliation page sets out the partnership in detail and how to confirm it independently. The verification page resolves a certificate code to a record, so an employer can confirm that a specific certificate was genuinely issued. The is NNWA legit page answers the sceptical version of the question directly, and the case studies show what the training looks like profession by profession. NNWA's registered office is at 64/4A Graham Road, Third Floor, Regent Park, Kolkata 700 040. Teaching is online, so there is no campus to visit, but the address is a real one on record.

What is NNWA?
NNWA (Nutrition and Wellness Academy) is an online, India-first academy teaching nutrition, dietetics and wellness as a practical skill. Classes are taught in English and Hindi, run live with recordings afterwards, and every learner keeps lifetime access plus mentor support. The range runs from a six month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health to about 70 short specialisation courses.
Is NNWA a recognised institute?
NNWA's flagship programmes are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim. That university is established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC (University Grants Commission) Act, 1956, and approved as an Awarding Body by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training). NNWA itself is ISO 9001:2015 certified and MSME registered.
Where is NNWA based and does it have a campus?
NNWA teaches entirely online across India, so there is no campus to attend. Live classes run online in English and Hindi, recordings are available afterwards, and learners keep lifetime access to the material. Mentor support runs alongside the classes. A learner in a small town gets the same teaching as one in a large city.
Who are NNWA courses for?
NNWA courses are for people who want a practical nutrition or wellness skill without spending years on a degree. The Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health is open to anyone who has passed 10+2 and above. Doctors, allied health practitioners, fitness coaches, homemakers and career changers all study at NNWA. The Post Graduation Diploma is open to graduates.
What courses does NNWA offer?
NNWA offers a Certification in Nutrition, a six month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health, a Post Graduation Diploma for graduates, an Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition, and about 70 short specialisation courses. The Diploma costs 29,999 rupees, with EMI (equated monthly instalment) options from 4,999 rupees a month.
Can I become a Registered Dietitian after studying at NNWA?
No. Registered Dietitian status in India needs a BSc or MSc in the subject plus registration with the IDA (Indian Dietetic Association). NNWA awards skill qualifications, not degrees, and a skill certificate does not carry that statutory title. NNWA training is built to develop practical, employable skill, and NNWA says so plainly rather than implying anything more.

A counsellor will look at your background and tell you honestly which programme fits, including telling you when a shorter, cheaper course is the better answer.
