Refer & Earn

NNWA's Refer and Earn programme rewards learners and well-wishers who introduce friends or family to an NNWA course. When a referred person enrols, the referrer receives a reward. The process is simple and transparent, and the current reward details are confirmed by an NNWA counsellor before you refer.

NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

An abstract brass seal with a ribbon beneath it, on a warm paper ground, with the NNWA wordmark in the corner.

The current reward details are confirmed by an NNWA counsellor before you refer. That is deliberate. Terms change, and this page would rather send you to a person who knows today's answer than print a number that might be a year old.

How the referral works

  • You tell someone about a course you think fits them.
  • They get in touch with NNWA and talk to a counsellor.
  • They enrol, if it is right for them.
  • You receive a reward.

The process is simple and it is meant to stay that way. Before you refer anyone, ask a counsellor what the current terms are, how the reward is issued and what counts as a completed referral. Get that clear at the start rather than after.

What makes a referral worth making?

The person on the other end. A good referral is someone whose goal actually matches what the course teaches, who has the time the programme needs, and who would have been glad to hear about it even if no reward existed. That last test is the useful one. If you would not have mentioned the course to this particular person without the reward, the referral is probably not a good one, and it will not feel good to either of you later.

Only refer someone the course suits

This is the part that most referral pages skip, so it goes near the top here.

A nutrition course is six months of someone's time and a real amount of their money. If it is the wrong fit, the reward you receive costs them far more than it gives you. So check before you recommend.

  • Does their goal match the programme, or would a shorter specialisation course suit them better?
  • Do they meet the entry requirement, and do they have the hours each week?
  • Are they clear about what the certificate is? It is a skill qualification, not a degree. It does not make anyone a Registered Dietitian, which needs a BSc or MSc plus Indian Dietetic Association registration.
  • Do they understand that no job or placement is guaranteed, by NNWA or by anyone?

If any of those is a maybe, send them to a counsellor to talk it through rather than answering for NNWA yourself. A conversation with a counsellor is free, and they will say when a shorter course fits better.

Does a reward make a recommendation less honest?

It can, and pretending otherwise would be silly. The fix is not to avoid referring people. The fix is to hold yourself to a higher bar than you would without the reward, because your name is attached to the recommendation and your friend will remember who sent them. A referral reward is a reason to be more careful about who you recommend, not less.

Tell them what you actually know

The most useful thing you can pass on is your own experience, described accurately. What the live sessions were like. How the bilingual teaching worked for you. Whether you went back to the recordings. What you found hard. What you still cannot do.

What you should not do is answer questions you are guessing at. Fees, current offers, batch dates, instalment plans and eligibility all change, and a well-meaning wrong answer from a friend is how people end up disappointed. Point them at the fees and EMI page for the payment position and let a counsellor confirm the rest.

Where to send someone

Send them to the thing that fits, not to the biggest thing. The Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health is the main programme, and the full course list shows the shorter specialisation courses that suit someone adding a single skill.

If your friend is the cautious type, and they should be, send them the honest reading first. The affiliation page explains exactly what the certificate is and how to check the awarding partnership independently. The verification page lets anyone confirm a certificate is genuine. And how to spot a fake nutrition course in India is worth sending to anyone comparing providers, including the ones comparing NNWA to something else.

Then confirm the current referral terms with the admissions team before you introduce anyone. It takes one message.

02The rest of the family

What else does NNWA run alongside its courses?

Refer & Earn is one of 6 NNWA (Nutrition & Wellness Academy) initiatives. The others are below.

Still deciding which course fits?

A counsellor will look at your background and tell you honestly which programme fits, including telling you when a shorter, cheaper course is the better answer.
