Check it, do not take our word
NNWA is an accredited training partner of Medhavi Skills University
Medhavi Skills University is a Sikkim state university, recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and approved by NCVET as an Awarding Body. NNWA is listed among its accredited training partners, and that listing sits on the university's own website — so the claim on this page can be checked against a source that has no reason to flatter us.

Verify the partnership yourself
This is the whole point of the page. The directory below belongs to Medhavi Skills University, not to NNWA.
- 01
Open the awarding body's partner directory
Go to awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners. It is MSU's own site, not ours, and it lists every accredited training partner with their address and website.
- 02
Search for the academy by its registered name
Type “National Nutrition and Wellness Academy” into the search box on that page and press Search. NNWA is registered with MSU under its full legal name rather than the NNWA initialism.
- 03
Read the listing
The row returned shows the partner name, a link to this website, and the registered office address in Regent Park, Kolkata — the same address printed in this site's footer and on every invoice.
What Medhavi Skills University is accredited to do
An affiliation is only worth what the affiliating body is. These are MSU's own recognitions, as MSU publishes them.
- Established by statute
- Medhavi Skills University was established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, and is promoted by the Medhavi Foundation.
- Recognised under the UGC Act
- MSU is recognised under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 — the section that makes an institution a university for the Commission's purposes.
- NCVET-approved Awarding Body
- The National Council for Vocational Education and Training has approved MSU as an Awarding Body, which is what allows it to award skill qualifications and certify assessed learners.
- Qualification frameworks
- MSU develops qualifications aligned to the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), the National Higher Education Qualifications Framework (NHEQF) and the National Credit Framework (NCrF), in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
- Skill India and NSDC
- Certificates issued through MSU carry the National Skill Development Corporation and Skill India marks alongside the university's own.
MSU can be reached independently at msu.edu.in. Its awarding-body arm publishes the qualification register, the partner directory and the onboarding process for training partners at awardingbody.msu.edu.in.

What this affiliation does not give you
Stated here rather than in the small print, because a reader who discovers a limit later feels misled — and is right to.
- A skill qualification is not a degree. Completing a flagship programme does not award a BSc or MSc, and does not make anyone a graduate of Medhavi Skills University.
- It does not confer Registered Dietitian status, and it does not make anyone eligible for Indian Dietetic Association registration. Both require a BSc or MSc in the subject and the IDA's own route.
- It does not qualify anyone to deliver clinical medical nutrition therapy or to treat disease. It qualifies you to educate and coach on everyday nutrition and wellness.
Questions people ask before enrolling
Is NNWA affiliated with a university?
Yes. NNWA is an accredited training partner of Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, a state university established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and approved by NCVET as an Awarding Body. You can confirm the partnership on MSU's own directory of training partners rather than taking our word for it.
How do I verify that NNWA is a Medhavi Skills University partner?
Open awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners, type “National Nutrition and Wellness Academy” into the search box on that page, and press Search. The listing shows the partner name, a link to this website and the registered office address in Regent Park, Kolkata.
Does the Medhavi Skills University certificate make me a graduate?
No. It is a skill qualification awarded under the NCVET framework, not a degree. It does not make you a graduate of Medhavi Skills University, and it is not a BSc or MSc. It certifies that you were assessed against a defined job role at a stated NCrF/NSQF level.
Which NNWA courses carry the university award?
The flagship programmes: the Certification in Nutrition, the Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics & Public Health, the Post Graduate Diploma, and the Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition. NNWA's other short courses carry NNWA's own certificate and are not MSU-awarded.
Does this make me a Registered Dietitian?
No, and no online certificate can. Registered Dietitian status and Indian Dietetic Association registration require a BSc or MSc in nutrition or dietetics and the IDA's own examination route. An NNWA qualification builds practical skills for nutrition education and wellness coaching; it does not replace a degree or license clinical medical nutrition therapy.
What is NNWA's own certification?
NNWA is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation and is MSME registered. ISO 9001:2015 is a quality-management standard covering how the academy runs; it is a statement about process, not an educational accreditation, and we do not present it as one.
