Credentials

Why NNWA Is Legit & Career-Ready

NNWA is a genuine, registered education provider. NNWA skill certification sits at NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4, awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, which is approved as an awarding body by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training). NNWA is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. A skill certificate is not a degree.

01Accreditation

What stands behind an NNWA certificate?

Four recognitions, each named in full so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

  1. 01

NCrF Level-4, via Medhavi Skills University

The National Credit Framework (NCrF) Level-4 skill certificate is issued by Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, an NCVET-approved Awarding Body, to learners who complete a flagship programme.

  2. 02

    ISO 9001:2015 certified

NNWA runs as an ISO 9001:2015-certified academy, in association with Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim.

  3. 03

    MSME registered

Registered as a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise with the Government of India.

  4. 04

    YCB-aligned yoga programmes

Where applicable, NNWA's yoga programmes are aligned to the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) syllabus.

02

What an NNWA qualification is not

NNWA programmes are private skill-enhancement courses and diplomas. They are not UGC- or NCAHP-recognised degrees, and completing one does not confer the statutory title of Registered Dietitian or any equivalent licensed clinical role.

NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

An abstract brass seal with a ribbon beneath it, on a warm paper ground, with the NNWA wordmark in the corner.

You probably arrived here because something felt worth checking. That is the right instinct, and the useful response is not reassurance. It is a list of things you can go and confirm yourself, plus a plain statement of what this qualification does not do. Read both halves. A provider that only gives you the first half is not being straight with you.

What you can verify without asking NNWA anything

Three checks are open to you right now, and none of them need our help.

  • The university partnership. NNWA's flagship programmes are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim. MSU publishes its partner directory at https://awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners. Search for the full legal name, National Nutrition and Wellness Academy, not the NNWA initialism, or you will get no result. NNWA's partnership certificate is numbered MSU/2026-27/744, describes NNWA as an Approved Skilling Partner, was issued on 1 August 2026 and runs to 31 July 2027.
  • A certificate. Every NNWA certificate carries a unique ID. Enter it on the verification page and you will see whether it was genuinely issued. It is free, instant, and you do not need the certificate holder's permission to run it.
  • Who teaches. The team page names the people behind the academy. A course that will not tell you who teaches it is a course to be careful with.

The background on the university, including what its own recognitions mean, is set out on the affiliation page.

How can I check the awarding partnership myself?

Open the MSU partner directory at https://awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners and search the full legal name, National Nutrition and Wellness Academy. The university is the source of that record, not NNWA, which is the point of checking it there. MSU was established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, is recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is an approved Awarding Body under NCVET. Those are facts you can look up independently of anything on this website.

What the fees and the entry rules say about a provider

Published numbers are a form of proof. The Diploma is listed at 34,999 rupees, currently offered at 29,999 rupees, with a booking amount of 6,999 rupees and instalment plans from 4,999 rupees a month. The fees and EMI page sets out the routes, and the eligibility page sets out who can join. Per-course fees for the short specialisation courses are not published, so ask before you enrol on one.

The limits, stated plainly

These are the things a sales pitch usually leaves out.

  • It is not a degree. An NNWA qualification does not award a BSc or an MSc, and it does not make you a graduate of Medhavi Skills University.
  • It does not make you a Registered Dietitian. That status in India needs a BSc or MSc in the subject plus registration through the Indian Dietetic Association's own route.
  • It does not qualify you to deliver clinical medical nutrition therapy or to treat disease.
  • There is no job guarantee and no placement guarantee. NNWA offers career support, and Diploma learners get access to a job portal, but the outcome depends on you and on the market.
  • The roughly 70 short specialisation courses carry NNWA's own certificate. They are not university-awarded, and it would be wrong to describe them as if they were.

Is NNWA a real academy or a scam?

NNWA is a registered education provider trading as NNWA, with its full legal name National Nutrition and Wellness Academy and a registered office in Kolkata. The awarding partnership behind the flagship programmes is listed publicly by the university itself, and any certificate can be checked by its ID. Those are the checks that matter, because they can be run by a stranger without NNWA's cooperation. Claims that cannot be checked that way are worth less, whoever makes them.

How do I tell a genuine provider from a fake one?

Look for the same three things everywhere you shop. First, ask exactly who awards the certificate and then confirm it at the awarding body's own website rather than the seller's. Second, ask whether the certificate can be verified by a stranger. Third, read what the provider says it cannot do, because an honest provider will tell you. There is a longer version of this test in how to spot a fake nutrition course, and a wider map of Indian credentials in the guide to nutrition credentials in India. If the recognition question is what brought you here, are online nutrition courses recognised in India answers it directly.

05Questions

What people ask about Why NNWA Is Legit & Career-Ready

Expand any question to read the answer in full.

Is NNWA legit?

Yes, and the claims can be checked rather than taken on trust. NNWA's flagship programmes are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, and the partnership is listed publicly at https://awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners under the name National Nutrition and Wellness Academy. NNWA is ISO 9001:2015 certified and MSME registered, and every certificate can be checked on NNWA's verification page.

How can I check that an NNWA certificate is genuine?

Every NNWA certificate carries a unique ID that can be entered on NNWA's verification page. The check is free and instant, and it confirms the certificate was genuinely issued. Employers and clients can run it themselves. The awarding partnership behind the flagship programmes is separately listed on Medhavi Skills University's own partners page.

Is NNWA a scam or a real academy?

NNWA is a real, registered academy. It is MSME registered, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and its flagship programmes are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, approved as an Awarding Body by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training). NNWA also states plainly what its certificates are: skill qualifications at NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4, not degrees.

Does NNWA guarantee a job after the course?

No. NNWA does not guarantee jobs, placement, income or admission to any government post, and says so openly. The training is built to make a learner employable through practical, India-first teaching and mentor support, and Diploma learners get access to a job portal. What follows depends on the learner, the effort put in and the market.

What makes NNWA different from other online nutrition courses?

NNWA teaches with Indian foods, Indian kitchens and Indian eating patterns rather than imported case studies, and classes run in both English and Hindi. Live sessions come with recordings and lifetime access, so material can be revisited long after the course ends. Mentor support runs throughout, and the flagship programmes carry a university awarded skill certificate.

Still deciding which course fits?

A counsellor will look at your background and tell you honestly which programme fits, including telling you when a shorter, cheaper course is the better answer.
