Find Your Course

Find Your Course is NNWA's guide to choosing the right programme. NNWA runs a Certification in Nutrition, a six-month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health, a Post Graduation Diploma for graduates, an Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition, and about 70 short specialisation courses. A counsellor can help you choose.

01Eligibility

Who is an NNWA course open to?

Four entry routes, and none of them requires a science degree. NNWA (Nutrition & Wellness Academy) teaches the fundamentals from scratch.

  1. 01

Students who have passed Class 12 (10+2)

Open from any stream. Science is preferred on the Diploma but is not mandatory, and the fundamentals are taught from scratch.

  2. 02

    Graduates from any discipline

A degree in any subject is enough to begin, and is the entry requirement for the Post Graduation Diploma.

  3. 03

    Doctors and allied-health practitioners

Ayurveda and Homeopathy practitioners, physiotherapists and nurses take NNWA courses as an add-on to an existing practice.

  4. 04

Fitness coaches, yoga teachers and homemakers

No clinical background is assumed. A smartphone or laptop, an internet connection and enough English or Hindi to follow a class is what is needed.

Most people choose a course by reading a syllabus. It works better the other way round. Decide what you want to be doing in a year, then pick the programme that gets you there. NNWA runs four flagship programmes and about 70 short specialisation courses, so the choice is real. The right answer depends mostly on where you are starting from. Below are the four starting points we hear most often, with the honest answer for each.

You are changing career and have no background in the subject

Start with the six-month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health. It is open from 10+2 upwards in any stream, so you do not need school science to join. The listed fee is 34,999 rupees and it is currently offered at 29,999 rupees. The Diploma covers nutrition, dietetics and public health rather than nutrition alone. That width matters when you do not yet know which part of the field you will settle in. Classes are live, in English and Hindi, and every session is recorded, so an evening you miss is not an evening lost.

The Certification in Nutrition is the shorter entry route into the same subject. It suits someone who wants to test the field before committing six months. You can check the entry rules for both on the eligibility page.

You already work in health or fitness

If you train clients in a gym or online, look at the Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition. It puts training and sports nutrition together, which is the pairing most trainers get asked about by clients. If you work in a clinic, a pharmacy, a wellness centre or a hospital support role and want the broader base, the Diploma is usually the better fit, because public health and dietetics sit inside it.

It is worth reading how people in your own line of work actually use the training. The case studies cover 35 professions, one by one, and they are more useful than a general brochure claim.

You are a graduate and want the postgraduate route

The Post Graduation Diploma is the graduate-entry flagship. It is open to graduates rather than to 10+2 pass learners, so it assumes you have already finished a degree. Put the question of whether your particular degree qualifies to a counsellor before you pay anything, since that answer depends on your specific qualification.

You only want one specific skill

Sometimes a full programme is the wrong purchase. If you are already practising and need one area, such as a single population group or a single method, a short specialisation course is the honest answer. NNWA runs about 70 of them. They also suit someone who wants to sample the subject cheaply before deciding on a flagship programme.

There is one difference you must know before you buy. Short courses carry NNWA's own certificate. They are not awarded through the university partner. If a university-awarded certificate is the reason you are enrolling, a short course will not give you one. Per-course fees for the short courses are not published on the site, so ask for the fee on the specific course you want. The full list sits in the course catalogue.

What is the difference between the Certification, the Diploma and the PG Diploma?

They differ by entry point and by width. The Certification in Nutrition is the short entry route into the subject, open from 10+2 upwards. The Diploma runs six months and goes wider, covering dietetics and public health alongside nutrition, and it is also open from 10+2 upwards. The Post Graduation Diploma is the route for people who already hold a degree. The Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition sits apart from all three, because it is built for trainers rather than for general nutrition practice.

Which NNWA programmes carry the university award?

Four of them. The Certification, the Diploma, the Post Graduation Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, which is an approved Awarding Body under NCVET. The roughly 70 short specialisation courses do not carry that award. They carry NNWA's own certificate instead, and NNWA labels them that way. A skill qualification of either kind is not a degree, and neither one makes you a Registered Dietitian.

What should you ask before you enrol anywhere?

Ask which certificate the course actually carries and who awards it, what the total payable is rather than the monthly figure, what the entry requirement is, and when the next batch starts. A useful checklist for judging any provider is set out in what a nutrition course should cover. If you want to talk it through, an NNWA counsellor will go over your goal, your background and your budget at no charge and with no obligation to enrol. Fee routes and instalment plans are set out on the fees and EMI page.

06Questions

What people ask about Find Your Course

Expand any question to read the answer in full.

Which NNWA course should I choose?

The right NNWA course depends on the starting point. Someone new to the field usually begins with the Certification in Nutrition or the six month Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health, both open from 10+2 upwards. Graduates can take the Post Graduation Diploma. Trainers often pick the Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition.

What is the difference between the NNWA Certification and the Diploma?

The Certification in Nutrition is the shorter entry route into the subject. The Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health runs six months, costs 29,999 rupees, and goes wider, covering dietetics and public health alongside nutrition. Both are open from 10+2 upwards, and the Diploma carries the university awarded skill certificate.

Can I take a short specialisation course instead of a full diploma?

Yes. NNWA runs about 70 short specialisation courses for people who want one focused area rather than a full programme. They suit practitioners adding a single skill and learners testing the subject before committing. Short courses carry NNWA's own certificate, while the flagship programmes carry the university awarded skill certificate.

Do I need a science background to study at NNWA?

No. The Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health is open to anyone who has passed 10+2 from any stream, science or not. Teaching is practical and India-first, delivered in English and Hindi, and mentor support is there for learners who find parts of the science new. The Post Graduation Diploma is open to graduates.

How do I get help picking an NNWA course?

Filling the NNWA enquiry form puts a learner in touch with a counsellor who talks through the goal, the background and the budget, then suggests a course. There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation to enrol. NNWA can also be reached by phone, on WhatsApp or by email at contact@nnwa.in.

Still deciding which course fits?

A counsellor will look at your background and tell you honestly which programme fits, including telling you when a shorter, cheaper course is the better answer.
