What the certificate is, and the line it does not cross

NNWA issues a digitally verifiable skill-enhancement certificate. In a city where a great many people work in or around a large teaching hospital, the boundary needs stating precisely: this is not a UGC degree, it does not confer Registered Dietitian status, it does not lead to Indian Dietetic Association registration, and it does not qualify the holder to provide clinical medical nutrition therapy to patients under treatment. Those roles require a BSc or MSc in nutrition or dietetics. Anyone who tells you a short online course substitutes for that is selling you something. Inside that boundary, though, there is real and legitimate work: general nutrition guidance, healthy-eating counselling, weight management support for people who are not under medical treatment, wellness coaching, corporate and community programmes, and content or client work for fitness businesses.

How the Medhavi Skills University partnership works

NNWA is an accredited Training Partner of Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim. MSU was established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, is promoted by the Medhavi Foundation, is recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is an approved Awarding Body under NCVET; its qualifications align to the NSQF, NHEQF and NCrF frameworks under NEP 2020. The Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health is a 600-hour qualification benchmarked at NCrF and NSQF Level 4, and a learner who completes it successfully receives an MSU Certificate for Skill Competency in addition to the NNWA certificate.
