NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

This page deals only with money and time. For what a course should teach, use the guide to choosing a health coach certification. For the general method across all nutrition courses, including degrees, see nutritionist course fees in India. NNWA sells coaching courses, so its view is not neutral. Its fees do not appear in the text below, because the course cards print them from a single live source.
Published fees, programme by programme
These are examples, not a ranking. Every row is what the provider's own page said when opened on 1 November 2026. Several show a higher and a lower figure, which is how they appear on the page. Many of these offers are time-limited, so read each one as that day's price and not as a promise.

How much does a health coach certification cost in India?
On the pages checked, from Rs 5,250 to about Rs 5.9 lakh, so no single answer helps until you know the kind of programme. At a round Rs 90 to the dollar, used here only to keep the sums simple, ACE's Basic figure is about Rs 70,700, AFPA's lower figure is Rs 85,410 and IIN's two figures are Rs 3,23,550 and Rs 5,93,550. Your bank's rate and foreign payment mark-up will move all of them. Rupee-priced programmes on the same list run from Rs 5,250 to Rs 1,15,000 plus GST, counting offer and listed figures.
Some providers publish no figure at all, or not everywhere. Weljii's courses page lists its Flagship Health Coach Certification with no price. IIN's programme FAQ points to a pricing section rather than stating the fee, and the figures appear on its home page. AAFT's guide to wellness coach certification has a fees section that states no amount. In each of these cases, ask in writing. A provider that quotes only on a call has told you nothing you can compare until you have that figure on paper.
What does each fee actually pay for?
Mostly for people's time, which is why the same words can sit at very different prices. IISDT's page describes recorded videos, e-books and a 60-question online multiple-choice exam, studied at your own pace, and it does not list observed coaching. IIN's describes self-paced modules with live Coaching Circles that give real-time feedback. Weljii's global page lists 46 live hours and a practical skill assessment by faculty. Each of these can be the right purchase, but they are different goods, so a straight price comparison misleads.
Coaching is a conversational skill, so one question separates these fees better than any other: how many of your coaching sessions will someone watch, and what feedback will you receive? Divide the fee by the live hours too, where a provider states them, as the cost-per-hour method explains. USD 1,500 over 46 live hours is about USD 33 an hour, for example. Many pages publish no hours, and that absence is itself worth asking about.
What do you pay after the course fee?
Often an exam, sometimes a retake, and for some credentials a renewal every few years. The American board lists USD 100 to apply and USD 400 for the exam, and its FAQ sets a USD 500 fee for each retake. It also says it will not reimburse travel or lodging. IIN says its Coaching Intensive Practicum, with base tuition of USD 2,195, does not include those board fees. So an IIN learner paying the lower displayed tuition, the practicum base and both board fees reaches USD 6,290, unless a bundle price applies.
Renewal is the cost people forget. AFPA's page says its certifications last two years, with USD 85 and 16 continuing education credits each cycle, so three renewals, six years' worth, add USD 255 plus the cost of the credits. ACE asks for 2.0 continuing education credits every two years, and the page opened did not state its renewal fee. IIN's page says board-certified coaches need 36 credits every three years. IISDT's page, by contrast, says its certificate needs no renewal. Add these to the total for as long as you expect to use the credential.
Exam access can also cost money. ACE's page says its live remote proctored exam is not currently available in India, so an Indian candidate should find a test location and price the trip. It also asks for a current CPR certificate, and its free shipping covers only the USA. The American board notes that a Prometric centre in a country does not guarantee its exam is offered there. Check this before you pay for study material, not after you finish it.
Comparing two coaching fees, today
Write the job
State who you will coach and whether anyone will ask for a specific credential. That decides how much certificate you need.
Get the written total
Ask each provider for the amount payable for your start date, with tax, and ask when any offer really ends.
Convert foreign fees
Use your bank's rate and foreign payment mark-up, and take the instalment total if you will not pay at once.
Add what comes after
List exam, retake, travel, certificate and renewal costs, and multiply renewals by the years you expect to use the credential.
Count the human time
Note the live hours and observed coaching sessions, then divide your total by the live hours.
Compare what is left
Set the two totals beside the practice each gives you. Pay more only for something your job needs.
Reading an offer price
Treat a struck-out figure as a claim and the amount you pay as the fact. On 1 November 2026, IIN's home page still showed an offer stated to end on 30 October, alongside a bundle offer ending on 2 November. IISDT's concession was stated to run to 1 November. Weljii's offers carry no end date on the pages opened. So ask each provider what the fee would be if you joined next month. If the figure holds, the discount was not forcing your decision, and a real scholarship and a course discount are different things to weigh.
How long does it take to get a health coach certification?
Between 2 and 12 months for the training on the pages checked, and longer if you want the American board exam. Medvarsity and NNWA list 2 months, while IISDT, Weljii's national programme and IIN's faster track list 6. IIN's page asks for 5 to 8 hours a week on its 12-month track, or 10 to 16 on the 6-month one. That comes to roughly 260 to 416 hours either way, by simple multiplication. Time has a price too: hours spent studying are hours you are not earning.
The board route adds its own stages. You complete an approved programme, pass its skills assessment, log 50 coaching sessions and then apply in a set window, and applications can take up to 30 days to process. The board's page lists exam windows from 30 November to 14 December 2026, 8 to 23 March 2027, and 19 July to 3 August 2027. Applications for the first have closed, and the next application period runs from 19 January to 2 February 2027. If you are comparing IIN against an Indian course, count this time as part of the cost.
Who does a lower fee suit?
A lower fee suits someone testing their interest, or a working nurse, physiotherapist or trainer who wants the vocabulary of coaching and already has clients to practise with. If you can arrange your own observed practice, perhaps with a colleague or mentor, paying for a self-study course and spending the difference on supervision is a fair plan. Do check that it teaches referral. A mid-priced course with live teaching suits people who need the structure of a class and someone to correct them.
Who should look elsewhere?
Look elsewhere than a dollar-priced programme if the total would need a loan and you have no clients or employer asking for that credential. Look elsewhere than any coaching course if you want to treat disease: that is the dietitian route, and it costs years rather than a fee. If you want to write meal plans, price a nutrition course first. And if you would be buying mainly because an offer ends tonight, leave it. The course will probably still be there next month.
NNWA's fee on the same test
NNWA's coaching courses are the 2-month Certified Health and Wellness Coach, the 3-month Wellness and Lifestyle Coach and the 6-month Diploma in Health and Wellness Coaching. NNWA is a private skill academy teaching online in English and Hindi with live classes. All three carry its own certificate only. The Medhavi Skills University award does not cover them. None is a degree, and none gives RD eligibility, IDA registration, a hospital dietitian post or the right to treat disease.
NNWA does not describe these as American board-approved programmes, so anyone who needs that exam should choose one that is, and confirm it in the board's directory. Work out NNWA's fee the same way as any other: take the figure from the card, read the fees and EMI page for what it includes, and ask how many hours are live and how many sessions are observed. If another provider gives you more of what your work needs for the same total, choose that one. EMI terms have their own method for comparing instalments.
Your next move, by budget
If your budget is under about Rs 25,000, look at the Indian courses in that range, ask what practice each includes, and arrange the rest yourself. If you can spend more and want live teaching, ask mid-priced providers for their hours and sessions, then compare the cost per live hour. If an employer or overseas plan requires the American board, build the whole board total first, then look for the cheapest approved programme that you are sure you can finish. If you work for a company, ask whether your employer will pay.
If you do not yet know whether you enjoy coaching, buy nothing for now. Coach two friends for a month, with their consent, and notice whether you look forward to the calls. That costs nothing and answers the biggest question on this page. When you do want a figure for a specific NNWA course, or its entry rules, a counsellor can go through them from NNWA's admissions page, and you should bring the totals you built for the other providers.
