NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

How should you compare nutrition course providers in India?
On evidence a stranger can check, not on reputation or the order of a search result. Five questions do most of the work. Is the fee printed on the page you land on, or only sent after you share your number? Is a duration stated, and is it a fixed batch or self-paced? Who is allowed to enrol, because a course for doctors and a course for a 10+2 pass-out are different products? Which named body stands behind each recognition mark, and can you confirm it with that body? And what does the provider say the qualification does not let you do? A provider that answers all five openly has made itself testable. Where a page leaves an answer out, that gap is recorded below rather than filled with a guess. The guide to evaluating nutrition institutes covers checks beyond these five.
What does INFS publish about its flagship diploma?
INFS lists its Diploma in Nutrition, Exercise and Preventive Health at Rs 61,999, delivered completely online and self-paced over 51 to 104 weeks. Its course page asks for applicants aged 18 or over who have passed Class XII in any stream and can work in English, and it names the certification awarded on completion as Certified Nutrition Fitness Coach. On the course page read for this comparison, no external accreditation body was named, so earlier descriptions of that page listing a string of certification marks are not repeated here. The self-paced design is the defining feature. It suits someone disciplined who wants to move at their own speed, and it asks more of a learner who needs a fixed timetable to keep going. INFS also runs shorter certificates, but their prices were not re-checked and are not quoted.
What does K11 state for its Human Performance Nutrition course?
K11 prices its Human Performance Nutrition course at Rs 67,000 with a monthly instalment option, taught across 51 sessions and 150 face-to-face learning hours in classroom or online formats. Entry needs 10+2 from a recognised board and a minimum age of 18, and the page says no earlier nutrition or science background is required. Two certificates are named: K11's own and what the page calls an NSQF Level-6 Sports Nutritionist certificate under NSDC and SPEFL SC. The same page claims ICREPs recognition across 10 countries, approved training partner status with REPS India, and an Outstanding grade from PD:Approval in the UK since 2019. Those are K11's statements about itself. A reader weighing the Level-6 claim should ask K11 for the qualification's entry on the national register and check it there, which is the same test this page applies to NNWA below.
What do AAFT Online and IGMPI charge for a year-long diploma?
Both sit at the upper end of published fees, for twelve months of study. AAFT Online's Diploma in Nutrition and Wellness is listed at Rs 1,40,000 with a no-cost EMI option, as a one-year online programme of 72 modules, more than 160 lectures, over 300 learning hours and 12 projects, and the page describes it as NSDC and CII certified. Its eligibility was not stated on the page checked. IGMPI's prospectus opens its Under Graduate Diploma in Health and Nutrition to 10+2 pass-outs over 12 months, at Rs 1,10,000 in part-time online live mode or Rs 1,22,500 in regular mode, and prices a six-month Executive Diploma, meant for graduates, at Rs 67,500. IGMPI describes itself in that prospectus as an autonomous body recognised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. An earlier version of this comparison carried a higher regular-mode figure, now corrected to the prospectus.
Which providers do not print a fee on the course page?
Three of the providers checked showed no fee on the course page itself. NFNA's Diploma in Applied Nutrition, Food Science and Dietetics runs six months with more than 120 hours of live classes and assignments, one year of recording access, and ten certificates including what it calls an NSDC-graded Skill India certificate. Arogyam Institute's six-month Diploma in Ayurvedic Diet and Nutrition is taught in live online classes in Hindi and English, displays CPD UK and NSDC among its marks, and issues a certificate with one internship letter. Optimum Wellness Academy's Diploma in Wellness, Nutrition and Fitness Training runs a minimum of seven to eight months online and offline in English and Hindi, with 21 hard-copy certificates and a long list of national and international affiliations. Not printing a fee is legal. It does mean the price is set in a conversation, so ask for it in writing before any call ends.
What do Orane, Medvarsity and Institute Nutrition offer instead?
Each of these three sells a different shape of product, so a straight fee comparison would mislead. Orane International lists a Certificate of Nutrition at Rs 45,000 over six months of live and recorded study for complete beginners, described as NSQF aligned without a level named, and a Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics at Rs 75,000 over 12 months that includes a three-month internship. Medvarsity's Certificate in Basic Nutrition costs Rs 17,745 for three months online, but its eligibility restricts it to healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, dietitians and Ayush practitioners, with a 60 per cent pass mark, and it cites AHERF, the British Accreditation Council and CPD Standards UK. Institute Nutrition sells short online courses, among them a PCOS Nutrition Course at Rs 5,999 across 18 lessons, and its own footer says its courses are for knowledge upgradation rather than practice.
How does NNWA's Diploma read against the same five questions?
The same way, with its limits included. The fee is printed: the Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics and Public Health is Rs 29,999, with a Rs 6,999 seat deposit counted towards it and EMI available, all on the fees and EMI page. The duration is six months in a live batch. Entry rules are published on the eligibility page. The recognition is named: Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, whose skill certificate for the programme states 600 hours at NCrF/NSQF Level 4, and whose partner directory can be searched under National Nutrition and Wellness Academy, as the affiliation page explains. And the limits are stated: it is not a degree, it confers no Registered Dietitian status, and it does not qualify anyone to treat disease. Teaching is live, in English and Hindi, and the recordings stay available for life.

Recognition is quoted as each provider states it, not endorsed. Check each claim with the named body.
Why do framework levels differ from one provider to the next?
Because a level belongs to a specific approved qualification, not to a provider, and the claims on course pages are not all the same kind. K11's page claims NSQF Level 6 for a sports nutritionist certificate. NNWA's Diploma carries an NCrF/NSQF Level 4 award through its awarding body. Orane's certificate is described as aligned to the framework without a level. Several other pages show NSDC or Skill India marks with no level at all. A higher number on a narrower course is not proof of a better course for you: levels describe the complexity of a defined job role, and a Level 6 role assumes more prior capability than a Level 4 foundation built for newcomers. The useful question is which job role the qualification certifies and whether that role is the work you want. The plain explanation of NCrF Level 4 shows how to read one.
What do the recognition marks on these pages actually tell you?
Less than their size on the page suggests, until you know which body issued each one and what it certifies. The marks seen across these providers fall into different kinds. A university or approved awarding body certifies that a learner was assessed against a qualification. A sector or skill mark usually signals a link to the national skilling system, and the useful follow-up is which qualification and which level. CPD points record continuing professional development hours for people already in a profession. A quality management certificate describes how an organisation runs its processes, not what a course teaches, and NNWA says as much about its own ISO 9001:2015 mark. International recognition is only as strong as the named body behind it. None of these kinds is worthless, and none is a degree. Ask each provider, NNWA included, to name the body and show where that body lists them.
What does a published fee include, and what might be charged later?
A printed fee is a starting point, not the full cost, until the provider confirms what sits inside it. Ask whether tax is included, whether study material, assessment and certificates are covered, and whether retakes, printed certificates or extra modules cost more. Ask about instalment charges too: a no-cost EMI can still carry a processing fee from the lender. For NNWA, the fees page states that a single fee covers classes, materials and certificates, that the seat deposit counts towards the fee, and that EMI and 0 per cent interest loan options are confirmed with a counsellor before enrolment. Put the same questions to every provider on your shortlist and compare the written totals, not the headline figures.
What changed since the earlier version of this page?
Several figures, because providers revise their pages and this comparison was re-read in full on 15 September 2026. K11's session and hour counts now read 51 sessions and 150 hours. IGMPI's regular-mode fee for its Under Graduate Diploma now reads Rs 1,22,500 in the prospectus. Orane's beginner certificate now reads Rs 45,000, and its accreditation wording has changed. AAFT Online's module count now reads 72. The INFS course page no longer showed the accreditation marks an earlier version listed, so they were removed, and Arogyam's displayed marks were updated to what its page now shows. An annual membership fee previously quoted for Institute Nutrition could not be found on its course listing and was removed, along with IGMPI concession details that were not re-checked. Earlier wording that placed NNWA's fee against others in order has also gone, because this page does not rank.
Who each kind of provider suits
The facts above sort readers more usefully than any league table. A disciplined learner who wants to set their own pace and can pay Rs 61,999 may find INFS's self-paced diploma a fit. A trainer who wants sports performance nutrition taught face to face, and has checked the Level-6 claim, may prefer K11. Someone who wants a long, project-heavy year and can afford a six-figure fee might weigh AAFT Online or IGMPI. A doctor, nurse or dietitian adding a short credential is the reader Medvarsity actually admits. A practitioner already working who wants quick topic updates may use Institute Nutrition's short courses. A beginner who wants a published fee, a six-month live batch, EMI and a university-awarded skill certificate at a lower price point may find NNWA's Diploma suits, and the Certification in Nutrition is the shorter first step.
Who should look elsewhere than all of these providers
Anyone whose goal is hospital dietetics or the Registered Dietitian title. Not one of the providers on this page, NNWA included, offers the full-time graduation and postgraduate study the Indian Dietetic Association requires before its hospital internship and exam, so the right comparison for that reader is between universities, and the dietitian route sets out the steps. Readers who want the lowest possible cost with a public university name should compare an IGNOU programme first, using the IGNOU versus private diploma guide. And anyone who has not yet decided whether nutrition work suits them should try a short course or a free resource before committing to any of the diplomas above.
How to re-check any figure on this page yourself
Treat every number here as correct on 15 September 2026 and possibly stale after it. Open the provider's own course page from the sources list, not a listing site, since aggregators often lag behind price changes. Find the fee, the duration and the eligibility line on that page. For each recognition mark, note the body named and search that body's own register or partner directory for the provider's legal name. Then read the refund terms before paying, because a course is only as flexible as its refund policy. If a provider's page and a counsellor disagree, ask for the counsellor's version by email and keep it. The refund policy checklist covers what to look for in those terms.
Re-checking a provider in four steps
Open the provider's own course page
Use the link in the sources list rather than a listing site, which may carry an old price.
Read the fee, duration and eligibility lines
Note anything missing, and ask for it by email rather than on a call.
Trace each recognition mark
Search the named body's own register or partner directory for the provider's legal name.
Read the refund terms before paying
Keep a copy of the terms and of any counsellor reply that differs from the page.
The comparison in one paragraph
On 15 September 2026, published fees for the courses checked ranged from Rs 17,745 for a certificate open only to healthcare professionals to Rs 1,40,000 for a year-long online diploma, three providers printed no fee on the course page, and the recognition claims ranged from a university award to framework alignment with no level named. None of these providers offers a route to Registered Dietitian status, and none should be chosen on price alone. Pick the reader description above that matches you, check the two or three providers that fit it on their own pages, apply the five questions in writing, and verify any awarding body with the body itself.
