NNWA publishes the name and qualifications of everyone who writes and checks its material. You can see the full teaching team on the faculty page.

NNWA publishes this comparison and places its own programme first, for the reasons given below. For how NNWA sits against the wider field, see the ranking of the best nutrition academy in India. This page answers the smaller question you actually have tonight, with these two names in front of you.
Here is the mistake people make at this stage. They compare certificate names and course titles, which look nearly identical. Compare instead who corrects you when you get something wrong, because that is the difference between knowing what protein does and knowing what to say to a tired mother of two in Patna.
Why does NNWA come first in this comparison?
NNWA comes first because it teaches you live and then stays with you. Classes run online in English and Hindi, every session is recorded, and the recordings and notes stay open to you for life. Doubts go to mentors 24x7, and a research and development team keeps the curriculum current, so what you learn reflects how people eat and what clients now ask.
The second reason is the award. Four programmes carry a university-awarded certificate: the Certification in Nutrition, the Diploma in Nutrition, the Post Graduation Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Personal Training with Sports Nutrition. The awarding university is Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC Act and an NCVET-approved awarding body. Short courses carry NNWA's own certificate, and NNWA says so plainly on how to check an award yourself.
The third is what happens after the last class. Placement support, career guidance, CV and interview preparation, job leads and help setting up a practice all sit around the flagship programmes. Over 1,000 learners have studied across NNWA's 73 courses, with named faculty led by Dr. Sucharita Sengupta as Mentor-in-Chief, and interest-free EMI spreads the cost.
What is IISDT, in brief?
IISDT is the Indian Institute of Skill Development Training, a registered trade name of Surewin India Mart Private Limited, with offices in Indore. It runs online certificate and diploma courses across many subjects, from computers and management to yoga and wellness, and its catalogue includes nutrition titles such as the Certificate in Diet and Nutrition.
Its own course page describes study through recorded videos, e-books and online resources at your own pace, followed by an online multiple-choice examination, and it states that the certificate has lifetime validity. Read on 2 November 2026, and written here as what the page says. Ask IISDT directly about anything you need beyond this overview.
| What you are comparing | NNWA | IISDT |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A nutrition, fitness and wellness academy with 73 courses | A multi-subject skill training organisation with nutrition among its titles |
| How you study | Live online classes, with recordings kept for life | Recorded videos, e-books and online resources, at your own pace |
| Who helps you | 24x7 mentor and doubt support | Digital study material, with a support team learners can contact |
| How you finish | Assessed work, then a certificate you can verify online | An online multiple-choice exam, then a certificate |
| The award | University-awarded on the four flagship programmes, NNWA's own on short courses | A certificate on passing, with lifetime validity stated |
Does live teaching really change what you can do?
Yes, because nutrition work is a conversation, and conversation is learned by practising it in front of someone. In a live class you can ask why your aunt's thyroid medicine and her morning tea matter, and hear the answer. A recording cannot notice that you have misunderstood. The difference between live and recorded classes shows up most in the first real client.
Recorded study has honest strengths: you choose the hour and the pace. NNWA keeps that advantage too, because the recordings of every live class stay available. The staff nurse on rotating shifts who misses Saturday's session can watch it on Tuesday and still put her question to a mentor. What lifetime access means is worth reading on any provider's terms.
Which certificate can a stranger check?
An NNWA certificate can be checked by anyone on NNWA's public certificate verification page, by the ID printed on it, with no login and no fee. On a flagship programme the employer can go a step further and search for National Nutrition and Wellness Academy in the university's partner directory, on the university's own website rather than NNWA's.
Whichever provider you choose, run this test before paying rather than after. A gym owner in Jaipur or a clinic manager in Kochi will not ring an academy to ask. They will look for a page, type a number and see an answer. If you want the full routine, how to read a nutrition course brochure walks through the lines to test.
Who does NNWA suit best?
NNWA suits anyone who wants to work with people rather than simply hold a document: the gym trainer whose clients keep asking about diet, the homemaker returning to paid work, the graduate changing direction and the nurse adding counselling skills. It also suits anyone who thinks in Hindi and wants to ask questions in it.
If a hospital post is the goal, note one thing calmly: hospital Registered Dietitian posts are reached through a BSc or MSc and a recognised internship. The dietitian course guide sets out that route and what NNWA adds for readers on it or beside it.
What should you ask before you pay either provider?
Ask the same five things of both, and ask for the answers in writing, because a written reply is what you can hold someone to later. This takes one evening and two short messages. NNWA's counsellors expect these questions, and what a free demo class can show you adds what to watch for in the teaching itself.
Fees are printed live on each NNWA course page, and the fees and EMI page explains interest-free EMI and the zero-interest education loan. Compare what the fee buys rather than the figure alone. An hour of live teaching and a marked assignment cost more to provide than a video, and they are what you are paying for. If you are also weighing another academy, NNWA against AAFT uses the same test.
The verdict and your next step with NNWA
The verdict is NNWA, for anyone who wants nutrition as a working skill: live teaching, mentor support at any hour, recordings for life, a university-awarded certificate on the flagship programmes and career support afterwards. Your next step tonight is simple. Open the course that matches your row above, read the modules, then go to NNWA admissions with your questions.
