What do people ask before enrolling on the Renal Nutrition?
Can I treat kidney patients on my own after this course?
No. Renal nutrition is clinical and must be applied under medical supervision. Graduates provide educational and supportive dietary guidance alongside nephrologists and registered dietitians, not independent clinical treatment.
Does this make me a registered dietitian?
No. This is a skill-enhancement specialisation, not a UGC degree or RD/IDA registration. It builds clinical renal knowledge on top of your existing qualifications and role.
Do I need a medical or dietetics background?
A background in nutrition, dietetics or healthcare is strongly recommended, because the material is clinical. The course explains the physiology from the basics, but it assumes you will work within a supervised clinical setting.
How is the course delivered?
Fully online over six weeks, in English and Hindi, with recorded sessions for lifetime access and mentor support throughout. EMI options are available.
Will I practise building real renal diet charts?
Yes. Much of the course is applied, working through staged renal and dialysis scenarios so you can translate clinical parameters into practical, supervised diet planning.
