NNWA sets out every recognition behind an NNWA certificate. Skill certification is at NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4, issued through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, an awarding body approved by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training). NNWA is also ISO 9001:2015 certified and registered as a micro, small and medium enterprise.
What stands behind an NNWA certificate?

NCrF Level-4, via Medhavi Skills University
The National Credit Framework (NCrF) Level-4 skill certificate is issued by Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, an NCVET-approved Awarding Body, to learners who complete a flagship programme.

NNWA runs as an ISO 9001:2015-certified academy, in association with Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim.

Registered as a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise with the Government of India.

YCB-aligned yoga programmes
Where applicable, NNWA's yoga programmes are aligned to the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) syllabus.
What an NNWA qualification is not
NNWA programmes are private skill-enhancement courses and diplomas. They are not UGC- or NCAHP-recognised degrees, and completing one does not confer the statutory title of Registered Dietitian or any equivalent licensed clinical role.

Is NNWA recognised by the government?
NNWA's flagship programmes are awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, which is established under the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021, recognised under section 2(f) of the UGC (University Grants Commission) Act, 1956, and approved as an Awarding Body by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training). NNWA itself is ISO 9001:2015 certified and MSME registered.
What does NCrF Level 4 mean on an NNWA certificate?
NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4 is the level at which NNWA's skill certification sits. It places the learning on India's national credit ladder as a recognised skill level, awarded through NNWA's partner university, which NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training) has approved as an Awarding Body. It is a skill level, not a degree.
Which university awards NNWA certificates?
Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim is the awarding body for NNWA's flagship programmes. The partnership is listed publicly at https://awardingbody.msu.edu.in/our-partners under the name National Nutrition and Wellness Academy, so anyone can check it. The award covers those flagship programmes only. NNWA's other short specialisation courses carry NNWA's own certificate instead.
Is NNWA ISO certified?
Yes. NNWA is ISO 9001:2015 certified and MSME registered. ISO 9001:2015 is a quality management standard, so it speaks to how NNWA runs its processes rather than to academic recognition. The academic side rests separately on the awarding body, Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, and on the NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4 skill certification.
Is an NNWA diploma the same as a university degree?
No. An NNWA diploma is a skill qualification, not a degree. It is certified at NCrF (National Credit Framework) Level 4 and awarded through Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, but it does not carry degree status. It also does not make anyone a Registered Dietitian, which in India needs a BSc or MSc plus IDA (Indian Dietetic Association) registration.
